When I was researching and reading about 19th century photographers, I came across a name that we briefly discussed in class the other day.  Timothy O'Sullivan was a 19th century photographer that took some of the first photographs of the American West.  He spent 7 years traveling and taking photographs of the different landscapes.   Here is a link to some of his work.  Click Here.  I find his work to be really beautiful.  This is the image that we discussed in class to jog your memory.
