Olivo Barbieri

Olivo Barbieri is an Italian artist and photographer or urban environments.  He is know for his technique in creating miniature still photography by shooting actual landscapes.  He uses a a shallow depth of field and a tile shift lens.  His photographs play with line and pattern.  He uses the landscape around him to find patterns, shapes, and stillness to create his work.  I like that he utilizes people in his work in an abstract way.  In some instances people do not even look like people but our eyes know that they are.  Below are a few of my favorites along with a link to his website.
