After looking at the work of a handful of street photographers in class, I decided to do some further research of my own. The past 30 minutes or so I have looked at several different photographers. The one's work that stood out the most to me was the work of Lukas Vasilikos. Born in Crete and now working in Athens, his work focuses on everyday activities on the streets of the city. His work really interests me because it has a strong sense of design qualities. Characteristics of his work include deep and dark shadows, linear aspects, contrast, limited color, and also repetition.
