I happened upon a few of these interesting photographs by Jaokim Olaussen. He does a lot of digital art and photo-manipulation and the results often play with light and darkness and with altering nature. The two images above greatly differ from each other in their style and execution, but in each of them here is a sort of gloomy undertone, which is also carried through most of his other images.
